Financing your project in the Gard: agritourism, agriculture, integration and departmental aid
Discover schemes in the Gard for businesses, agritourism, agriculture and integration. Conditions, funders, sources and points of caution.
Introduction
The Département du Gard makes grant application procedures linked to its public policies available to private organisations, and offers targeted schemes, in particular for agritourism, agriculture, integration and the promotion of local produce. It no longer holds the general remit for economic development: each application must therefore be linked to a precise departmental mission, a set of regulations and an authorised beneficiary.
Who is this guide for?
This guide is for businesses, farms, creators, takeover entrepreneurs and local economic structures based in the département. Criteria vary by scheme: legal status, sector, precise location, size, expenses, timetable and any co-funding.
Understanding who funds what
Distinguish between aid directly provided by the Département, schemes co-funded with the Région or the State, national programmes accessible locally, and loans or support from partner operators. The location of the business does not automatically turn regional, national or private aid into departmental aid.
Direct departmental aid
The schemes listed below are attributed to the Département only when an official source establishes this. For each aid, check the regulations in force, the legal beneficiary, the expenses, the rate, the cap, the dates, the documents and the application channel. When the source does not allow confirmation of availability, the entry explicitly states this.
Agricultural and rural aid
Farms may fall under schemes dedicated to setting up, investment, agroecology, diversification, livestock or economic difficulties. Criteria may include active farmer status, location, products, a PACAGE number, a technical appointment, a CAP application or a call for projects. Identify the real case-handling body and the co-funders.
Creation, employment and territorial development
Honour loans and support schemes are not grants: they may be granted to the individual, be repayable and be subject to prior support. Integration aid generally targets defined groups or structures. Territorial programmes may be reserved for local authorities and public bodies.
Complementary funding
In the absence of a suitable departmental window, examine aid from the Région Occitanie, the State, ADEME, Bpifrance, FranceAgriMer and European funds depending on the nature of the project. The corresponding entries must retain their real funder and must not be duplicated as departmental aid.
How to prepare your application
Prepare a project description, a financing plan, quotes, recent accounts, a registration extract, staff numbers, turnover, the site address and sector-specific supporting documents. Before any expense, check whether a prior application is mandatory and whether expenses already incurred are excluded.
Checking the status of the aid
An information page or a budget announcement does not guarantee that a window is open. Check the application period, the available budget envelope, the regulations and the current form. Keep closed programmes in the history but do not present them as currently available.
Cumulation and aid scheme
Cumulation rules depend on the scheme, the State aid regime and whether the same expenses are funded. Only mention de minimis, the GBER (General Block Exemption Regulation) or agricultural rules if the sources specify them. Otherwise, state that cumulation must be checked in the regulations.
Points of caution
Do not confuse a grant, a repayable advance, an honour loan, a guarantee, a public contract, support and funding for an operator. A sum awarded to an association, a local authority, an event or a platform is not an individual aid automatically accessible to every business.
Schemes identified in this batch
The associated tracking table presents five schemes or leads qualified from official sources. Unknown statuses, amounts and criteria remain marked as to be confirmed; referral leads are not presented as standalone aid.
