Financing your project in Aisne: agricultural aid, livestock farming, and short supply chains

Discover Aisne's grants for livestock farming, agricultural investment, short supply chains, and support for struggling farms.

Introduction

The Département de l'Aisne has schemes explicitly dedicated to agriculture: livestock farming, environmental investments, short supply chains, local production, and support for farmers in difficulty. Aid for non-agricultural businesses must be sought from the Région Hauts-de-France and inter-municipal authorities, depending on the powers and regulations that apply.

Who is this guide for?

This guide is for businesses, farms, associations, project promoters, and local stakeholders based in the department. Eligibility depends on the scheme, the applicant's status, sector, location, expenses, and timetable.

Understanding who funds what

Distinguish between aid provided directly by the Département, co-financed programmes, State or Region aid, and support from partners. A grant voted for the benefit of an association or a platform does not automatically become an individual grant for every business.

Direct departmental aid

The fact sheets below only cover schemes for which the institutional source establishes a link with the Département. Named grant decisions, calls for projects, and referral portals are identified as such; they must not be presented as windows open to everyone.

Agricultural and rural aid

For farms, check setting-up, livestock, investment, environmental, processing, and short-supply-chain measures. CAP aid, FEADER aid, crisis measures, and DDT schemes remain attributed to their actual funder.

Business creation, employment, and local development

Integration or support measures may target specific groups or organisations. They do not necessarily correspond to a grant paid to the business. For economic investments, check whether the power lies with the Region/EPCI and any delegation.

Complementary funding

Examine aid from the Région Hauts-de-France, the State, EPCIs, ADEME, Bpifrance, FranceAgriMer, and European funds where the project matches. Partner schemes must keep their actual funder and must not be duplicated as departmental aid.

How to prepare your application

Prepare a project description, the financing plan, quotes, accounts, a registration extract, headcount, turnover, the site address, and sector-specific supporting documents. Check whether the application must be submitted before expenses are incurred.

Checking the status of the aid

An information page or a budget decision does not prove that a scheme is open. Check the deadline, the regulations, the remaining budget, the form, and the legal beneficiary. Closed schemes remain in the historical record, without being presented as available.

Combining aid and State-aid regime

The rules for combining aid depend on the regulations and the applicable State-aid regime. Check combinability on the same expenses, de minimis aid, and regional/European co-financing before applying.

Points of caution

Do not confuse a grant, aid in kind, a commercial outlet, a loan, support, funding from an operator, and a public-procurement contract.

The accompanying tracking tab presents five schemes or leads drawn from institutional sources. Departmental schemes, national aid, and partner aid are kept separate; unconfirmed items remain to be verified.
