Financing your project in Lozère: business aid, agriculture and investments

Identify Lozère schemes for businesses, agriculture, trades and rural investments, distinguishing between direct aid and partner funding.

Introduction

Lozère publishes economic schemes covering in particular the creation, takeover and transfer of craft or commercial businesses, productive investment by SMEs, and rural retail. In agriculture, departmental action is mainly complementary to the Région and professional organizations. The aid guide evolves over time: the rules, budgets and windows must be confirmed before any scheme is communicated as open.

Who is this guide for?

This guide is intended for businesses, farm businesses, associations, professional organizations and project leaders in the department. Eligibility depends on the scheme and the beneficiary's legal status; aid intended for an association, a local authority or a sector organization is not automatically accessible to an individual business.

Understanding who funds what

Distinguish between direct grants from the Département, regional or European aid, State aid and partner funding. A public policy, an overall budget or a presentation page is not confirmation of an open window or individual eligibility.

Direct or departmental schemes identified

See the tracking tab for the beneficiaries, expenses and caveats of each lead.

Agriculture, rural areas and sectors

Agricultural schemes may target investment, setting up, specific sectors, organic farming or professional structures. Check whether the eligible beneficiary is the farm, a collective organization or a public applicant.

State aid and CAP schemes

Crisis aid, audits of farms in difficulty, AREA, ARP or CAP aid must be attributed to their legal funder. Check submission dates and do not present a closed window as available.

Businesses, trades and retail

Economic aid may be reserved for certain sectors, business sizes, expenses or territories, and is sometimes managed by the EPCIs. Check the local regulations before committing to expenses.

Complementary funding

Examine the schemes of the Région Occitanie, FEADER, the State, ADEME, Bpifrance and intermunicipal bodies when departmental windows do not cover the project. Keep track of the legal funder and the cumulation rules of each scheme.

Preparing your application

Prepare a project description, financing plan, quotes, recent accounts, registration, headcount, turnover, location of the investments and sector-specific supporting documents. Check whether prior submission is mandatory and whether already committed expenses are excluded.

Checking the opening status and criteria

Check the timetable, the available budget, the caps, the State aid regimes, the submission channel and the version of the regulations. Closed calls remain useful for historical purposes, but must not be presented as open.

Cumulation and aid regime

Cumulation depends on whether the same expenses are financed, the aid regime and any applicable caps. Do not assume cumulation is possible in the absence of explicit information; refer to the regulations or the processing department.
