Financing your project in Moselle: associations, environment and territorial projects

Identify Moselle's support for associations, environmental projects and local authorities, and distinguish it from business aid and European funds.

Introduction

In Moselle, the departmental windows identified mainly concern sports and youth associations, local authorities' environmental projects, and social or work-integration actions. General economic policies for businesses should not be presumed to be departmental: an institutional document notes that direct economic aid predating the NOTRe law has not been renewed. Businesses should therefore also examine regional, national and European aid, as well as public procurement contracts.

Who is this guide for?

Sports, cultural, youth or social-action associations, municipalities and EPCIs; work-integration organizations; businesses only if they respond to a call or a procurement contract open to them.

Understanding who funds what

The Département offers windows organized by competence and target group. Examples identified in 2026: an investment grant for sports association equipment (submission indicated before 15 October 2026 for the 2027 application round), aid for professional performing arts companies with a deadline announced for 30 November 2026, and aid for studies/management of sensitive natural areas for certain local authorities. These schemes are not general grants for business production.

Aid and schemes to examine

The leads below come from institutional sources.

1. Direct grants and targeted schemes

• Investment grant for sports associations: equipment linked to the activity, at least one year's existence, submission before 15/10/2026 for the 2027 application round • Aid for the creation/accreditation of professional performing arts companies: registered office in Moselle for more than a year, license and project; deadline indicated as 30/11/2026 • Studies and management of sensitive natural areas: window announced for municipalities, EPCIs with their own tax powers, and closed joint boards (syndicats mixtes fermés) • Departmental public procurement contracts: a commercial opportunity, not aid

2. Territorial and sector-specific aid

• European funds (FSE+/FEADER): departmental support and advice, but calls and rules are run by the competent authorities • Social and youth support: targeted calls/windows, check the eligible target groups • Do not consider the former direct business aid policy as still active without a new official basis.

3. Regional, national and European funding

Examine schemes from the Région Grand Est, Bpifrance, ADEME, European programs and national aid depending on the project. Public procurement contracts are a commercial channel distinct from grants.

Potentially fundable expenses

Sports or association equipment, cultural and youth actions, studies or management of natural areas, work-integration or prevention actions depending on the call. Meal, investment or operating expenses may be excluded depending on the specifications: read each set of regulations.

Eligibility conditions to check

Check the registered office and activity in Moselle, legal status, length of existence, any required license, the nature of the action, eligible expenses, the deadline, the required form, prior approval before any commitment, and co-financing rules.

Timetable and status of the windows

As of 13/10/2026, the official page for the sports investment grant indicates submission before 15 October 2026 for the 2027 application round; the aid for creating professional companies indicates a deadline of 30 November 2026. Check the page for each window before applying.

Documents to prepare

SIRET, articles of association, bank details, forecast budget, accounts, project description and timetable, quotes, professional license where applicable, a certificate of commitment to republican principles for the associations concerned, and the form's required documents.

Research method

  1. Search for the exact window on Moselle.fr; 2) check the target group and date; 3) distinguish between a grant, a call for projects, a European fund and a public procurement contract; 4) confirm the start-of-works rules and documents; 5) trace each source and status.

Next update

Check the official pages for sports, youth, culture, environment and social-action aid, then identify the calls that are actually open, the scales, and the 2027 application documents.
