Financing your project in the Loiret: agriculture, processing and local development
Grants in the Loiret: agricultural investments, product processing, support for struggling farmers and local funds. Official sources and scheme status.
Introduction
In the Loiret, funding options include departmental grants for agricultural investment and processing, support for struggling farms, and local schemes. The Département co-finances certain FEADER schemes administered by the Région Centre-Val de Loire. Each measure must be qualified according to its actual beneficiary and its campaign.
Who is this guide for?
This guide is for businesses, farms, founders, buyers and local economy organisations established in the département. Criteria vary according to legal status, sector, location, size, expenses, timeline and co-financing.
Understanding who funds what
Distinguish grants directly carried by the Département from schemes co-financed with the Region or the State, national programmes accessible locally, and loans or support provided by partners. Being located in the territory does not automatically turn a regional, national or private grant into a departmental one.
Direct departmental grants
The Département publishes a directory of its grants and supports agricultural, local, cultural and community projects. A subsidy awarded to a chamber of commerce/trade, a local authority or a partner organisation is not automatically a funding window open to every business. Check the regulations, available funding and the filing period.
Agricultural and rural grants
In 2026, the Loiret renewed its partnership with the Chambre d'agriculture, in particular for the agricultural and food transition and support for struggling farmers. Departmental co-financing supplements certain FEADER schemes for productive investment and processing. Operational terms and open calls must be checked before any commitment.
Business creation, employment and local development
For non-agricultural businesses, the departmental portal lists targeted grants and local support. Subsidies to municipalities/inter-municipal bodies and FSE+ programmes are reserved for specific applicants and operations: do not present them as a general grant for commercial companies.
Complementary funding
Supplement your research with schemes from the Région Centre-Val de Loire, FEADER, national grants and inter-municipal bodies. The Département's co-financing of a regional scheme does not mean the application should be filed with the Département.
How to prepare your application
Prepare the project description, financing plan, quotes, recent accounts, proof of status and declarations of public aid already received. Do not commit to expenses before checking the scheme's rules.
Checking the status of the grant
An information page, a partnership agreement or a budget announcement does not guarantee that an individual funding window is open. Check the regulations, the dates, the reviewing authority and the application form.
Combining aid and aid scheme
Rules on combining aid depend on the scheme, the European State aid regime and whether the same expenses are involved. Declare any aid already received and check the applicable de minimis rules or caps.
Points of caution
Do not confuse a grant, a repayable advance, a loan, support services, public procurement and funding awarded to a partner organisation. Closed campaigns are kept for historical reference and monitoring purposes, but must not be shown as open.
