Financing your project in the Pyrénées-Orientales: agriculture, organic farming and farm recovery
Identify support from the Pyrénées-Orientales for agricultural sectors and organic farming, and State aid for farms in difficulty.
Introduction
The Pyrénées-Orientales has a policy of support for agricultural sectors, organic farming, experimentation and agricultural water management. At the same time, farms in difficulty may be eligible for State schemes, notably the comprehensive audit, the farm recovery aid (AREA) or professional retraining aid. These schemes have distinct funders and conditions: State aid must not be presented as departmental grants.
Who is this guide for?
This guide is intended for businesses, farms, associations, professional organisations and project leaders in the département. Eligibility depends on the scheme and the beneficiary's legal status; aid intended for an association, a local authority or a sector organisation is not automatically accessible to an individual business.
Understanding who funds what
Distinguish between direct grants from the Département, regional or European aid, State aid and partner funding. A public policy, an overall budget or a presentation page does not confirm that a scheme is open, nor individual eligibility.
Direct or departmental schemes identified
See the tracking tab for the beneficiaries, expenses and caveats of each lead.
Agriculture, rural areas and sectors
Agricultural schemes may target investments, setting up, sectors, organic farming or professional structures. Check whether the eligible beneficiary is the farm itself, a collective organisation or a public project leader.
State aid and PAC schemes
Crisis aid, the audit of farms in difficulty, the AREA, the ARP and PAC aid must be attributed to their legal funder. Check submission dates and do not present a closed scheme as available.
Businesses, trades and retail
Economic aid may be reserved for certain sectors, company sizes, expenses or territories, and is sometimes managed by EPCIs. Check the local regulation before committing to expenses.
Complementary funding
Look at schemes from the Région Occitanie, FEADER, the State, ADEME, Bpifrance and intercommunalities when departmental schemes do not cover the project. Keep a record of the legal funder and the cumulation rules for each scheme.
Preparing your application
Prepare a project description, financing plan, quotes, recent accounts, registration details, headcount, turnover, the location of the investments and sector-specific supporting documents. Check whether a prior application is mandatory and whether expenses already committed are excluded.
Checking the opening and the criteria
Check the timetable, the available budget envelope, the caps, the State aid regimes, the submission channel and the version of the regulation. Closed calls remain useful for historical reference, but must not be presented as open.
Cumulation and aid regime
Cumulation depends on whether the same expenses are being funded, the aid regime and any applicable caps. Do not assume cumulation is allowed in the absence of explicit information; refer to the regulation or the processing department.
Schemes identified in this batch
All lines without an official identifier remain unvalidated.
