Chambers of trades and crafts
Chambre de Métiers d'Alsace: support and funding for craft businesses
Chambre de Métiers d'Alsace is one of the two chambers under local law (along with Moselle) that retained its own legal personality during the regionalisation of the CMA network by law.
In brief
Chambre de Métiers d'Alsace is one of the two chambers under local law (along with Moselle) that retained its own legal personality during the regionalisation of the CMA network under the PACTE law, by virtue of the local law of Alsace-Moselle. It collects the chamber dues tax directly under derogatory arrangements, and remains associated with the CMAR Grand Est network.
Start-up/takeover support (GRACEA)
The Région Alsace entrusted Chambre de Métiers d'Alsace with the pre-screening and pre-certification of applications for aid to set up or take over craft businesses (the GRACEA scheme), through a partnership agreement. The current terms of this scheme should be reconfirmed with the Chamber or the Région Grand Est.
General support
Like the rest of the network, Chambre de Métiers d'Alsace supports the start-up, takeover and development of craft businesses, and directs applicants to the regional and national schemes that can be mobilised.
Key takeaway
Chambre de Métiers d'Alsace retains a distinct legal status (local law) and has historically processed applications for the regional start-up/takeover grant for craft businesses (GRACEA). Check the current status of this scheme directly with the Chamber.
