Equity Participation in SCIC Cooperatives
The scheme targets SCICs set up as SA, SAS or SARL with variable capital, whose purpose is producing or supplying goods and services of collective interest with social utility. The project must match regional priorities or help structure an economic potential, ecosystem or supply chain in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Taking a stake is decided by the authority’s deliberative body and is not automatic.
Does your SCIC (cooperative society of collective interest) need to strengthen its equity to develop a service of collective interest, structure a supply chain or scale up? The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region can take a stake in certain SCICs whose purpose matches its powers and economic priorities. This is not a grant: the capital contribution strengthens equity and involves an investment decision by the local authority.
