FEADER 73.17 — Agricultural productive investments dedicated to young farmers

Presentation of the scheme

The 73.17 intervention supports young farmers' productive investments through enhanced conditions defined in the territorial variation. It is distinct from start-up grants and targets the investments needed to develop the farm.

Potential beneficiaries

Young farmers and agricultural structures meeting the criteria of the regional or territorial variation, notably the conditions relating to farm start-up and control of the farm.

Projects and expenses concerned

• Production buildings and equipment.
• Agricultural machinery and technical equipment.
• Storage and equipment needed for the activity.
• Environmental investments or performance improvement investments when expressly permitted.

Eligibility conditions

Criteria may include the definition of young farmer, the start-up date, the viability of the project, the productive nature of the investments and the expenses accepted under the regulation.

Amounts and funding rates

Rates, caps and scales are defined in the territorial variation. A specific fact sheet exists for Mayotte; its parameters must not be automatically transposed to all French regions.

2. Check the young farmer status and the start-up dates.
3. Check the eligible investments.
4. Prepare quotes, the financing plan and farm operating documents.
5. File the application according to the managing authority's timetable.

Points of caution

Do not confuse the investment enhancement with the start-up grant. The two instruments may have distinct conditions and caps.
