AGEFIPH's role

The Association de gestion du fonds pour l'insertion professionnelle des personnes handicapées (Association for Managing the Fund for the Occupational Integration of People with Disabilities, AGEFIPH) supports the development of employment for people with disabilities in the private sector. It offers financial support, services and guidance for individuals, employers and training providers.

What needs can be funded?

Depending on the scheme's rules, support can help offset the effects of disability on access to employment, integration, career development or job retention. Some schemes cover workstation adaptation, human or technical support, training, apprenticeships, or the creation/takeover of a business by a person with a disability.

Who can benefit from the grants?

Beneficiaries vary depending on the solution: private employers governed by French law, people with disabilities or who have started recognition procedures, self-employed workers, and training providers in certain cases. Criteria may cover employment status, disability recognition, social obligations and complementarity with other schemes.

How do you prepare an application?

Define the need related to the disability and employment situation, check the scheme's official fact sheet, identify the supporting documents and any referring body, then contact AGEFIPH or a relevant contact such as Cap emploi or France Travail. The application must describe the situation, the solutions envisaged and the expenses or extra costs involved.

Business creation or takeover

AGEFIPH lists a grant for creating or taking over a business, aimed at a person with a disability who is developing their own job. The official page consulted announces a grant of up to €3,000 and specifies, among other things, a project worth at least €7,500, a minimum personal contribution of €1,200, and a balanced financing plan. These parameters must be reconfirmed at the time of application.

Frequently asked questions

Does AGEFIPH fund all business projects? No: the grants relate to employment and offsetting the effects of disability. Is a business automatically eligible? No, the specific criteria for each scheme and the beneficiary's situation are examined. Can several grants be combined? This depends on the scheme and the purpose being funded; check the official combination rules.
