Long-Term Short-Time Work — Rebond
APLD-R allowed a temporary reduction in working time to preserve jobs in companies hit by a lasting drop in activity. Agreements or unilateral documents had to be submitted by 28 February 2026 at the latest. Since 1 March 2026, no new entries are possible; companies already authorised may remain subject to the monitoring and renewal rules.
Long-term short-time working “Rebond” (APLD-R) aimed to help companies facing a lasting drop in activity that did not threaten their survival, in return for commitments on employment and training. The ministry states that no new agreement or unilateral document can be submitted since 1 March 2026. This page should therefore be read as information on a scheme closed to new entrants, not as aid open to new applicants.

Who can apply
Companies whose agreement or unilateral document was validated or approved within the scheme’s deadlines may still be concerned by the applicable authorisations and renewals. APLD-R has not been open to new companies since 1 March 2026.
Eligibility conditions
The scheme concerned companies facing a lasting reduction in activity that did not threaten their survival. It relied on a compliant collective agreement or unilateral document, an economic diagnosis, a precise scope of employees concerned and commitments on job retention and training. Documents had to be submitted by 28 February 2026 at the latest. No new entries are possible since 1 March 2026.
What the scheme covers
APLD-R allowed working hours to be temporarily reduced to avoid economic redundancies. The reduction could not exceed 40% of the legal working time or the applicable collective working time, under the conditions of the scheme. The agreement had to specify the establishments, activities and employees covered, as well as the employment and training commitments.
Amount and funding terms
APLD-R relied on an allowance co-funded by the State and Unédic, with rates varying by category of employee and period. Do not use a single rate without consulting the official rate table applicable to the period concerned. The scheme has not accepted new entrants since 1 March 2026.
How to apply
No new application to enter APLD-R can be submitted since 1 March 2026. For a company whose agreement or unilateral document was validated or approved before the deadline, monitoring and renewals must be checked with the DDETS (departmental employment authority) via the SI-APART portal. Renewal requires in particular an updated diagnosis and evidence justifying the continued drop in activity and compliance with the employment and training commitments.
Timeline
Deadline passed: agreements and unilateral documents had to be submitted by 28 February 2026 at the latest. No new entries are possible since 1 March 2026. Companies already admitted may be subject to a maximum application period of 24 months and authorisations for renewable periods of up to six months, under the official conditions.
