Fuel cash-flow aid for public river transport by pirogue in French Guiana
Decree no. 2026-632 creates cash-flow aid linked to the rise in fuel prices for public transport operators by pirogue on French Guiana’s inland waters. The company must be established in French Guiana and have a SIRET number and a boat certificate identifying the vessel. It must be up to date with its social and tax obligations, unless it has a repayment plan or is putting one in place. Purchases taken into account are limited to 1 May–30 June 2026, a period that has now ended.
This exceptional aid was created in July 2026 for companies established in French Guiana whose main activity is public river transport of goods or passengers by pirogue. The text sets aid of €0.20 per litre of professional unleaded fuel bought from 1 May to 30 June 2026, capped at €100 per boat per month. As the spending period has passed, check with the prefecture whether applications are still open and what arrangements have been set by order.

How to apply
The Prefect of French Guiana reviews applications and the regional public finance directorate (DRFiP) makes the payment. The decree refers to a prefectoral order for the arrangements for submitting, reviewing, certifying and checking applications. Consult the prefecture before taking any steps, as the spending period has ended and the decree alone does not establish that applications are actually open.
Timeline
Eligible spending: from 1 May to 30 June 2026. The decree was published on 14 July 2026 and came into force the next day. The exact application deadline must be confirmed in the applicable prefectoral order.
