Eureka Cluster ITEA Call for Projects

According to the official ITEA website, the deadline for submitting the ‘Project Outline’ for the 2026 call is Monday 2 November 2026, 5pm CET. The Letter of Intent is then due by 16 November 2026, the results of the Project Outline selection are expected on 15 December 2026, and the Full Project Proposal (with Declaration of Acceptance) must be submitted by 11 February 2027, 5pm CET. The call opened on 15 September 2026, during the ‘Project Outline Preparation Days’ in Istanbul (15-17 September).

ITEA is the Eureka cluster dedicated to software innovation. It brings together international R&D consortia, which are then funded country by country — in France through Bpifrance.

Who can apply

Businesses and R&D organisations wishing to carry out an international collaborative software innovation project, within a consortium involving several countries of the Eureka/ITEA network.

Eligibility conditions

Applications are made in several successive stages: first a ‘Project Outline’ (a sketch of the project, its objectives, partners and expected results), then a ‘Letter of Intent’, then — if the Project Outline is selected — a complete ‘Full Project Proposal’. Each national partner then applies separately for funding in its own country.

What the scheme covers

Collaborative R&D projects on software innovation, involving partners from several countries in the Eureka network.

Amount and funding terms

As with other Eureka clusters, ITEA does not fund projects directly: each consortium partner then applies for national funding in its own country (in France, through Bpifrance), with rates and ceilings specific to each country.

How to apply

1. Form an international consortium around a software innovation project. 2. Submit a ‘Project Outline’ before 2 November 2026, 5pm CET. 3. Submit the ‘Letter of Intent’ before 16 November 2026. 4. If the Project Outline is selected (results expected on 15 December 2026), submit the Full Project Proposal before 11 February 2027. 5. Each French partner applies to Bpifrance in parallel.

Timeline
