Multi-RES & Recovery Opportunity Study
ADEME funds multi-EnR&R opportunity studies for local authorities, companies and associations to compare renewable heating and cooling solutions suited to their buildings and select the options to examine further.
This study compares the renewable heating and cooling solutions that can genuinely meet the needs of one or more buildings. It helps the project owner avoid choosing a technology too early, by assessing the options on feasibility, cost and energy relevance.

Who can apply
Local authorities, companies and associations can apply. The geographical coverage indicated by ADEME includes several mainland regions as well as Réunion, Martinique and Mayotte; check the updated list on the official page.
Eligibility conditions
The study must compare several renewable and recovered energy solutions compatible with the building(s)’ heating needs. It follows the EnR’Choix approach: sobriety and energy efficiency, pooling, waste heat recovery and consideration of local renewable resources.
What the scheme covers
The work includes a brief energy review, identification of heating and cooling needs, mapping of available resources, a multi-criteria analysis of solutions and a recommendation on the options to examine further in a feasibility study.
Amount and funding terms
The amount is set under ADEME’s 2026 conditions for ecological transition studies and eligible costs. The page does not publish a universal cap; the quote must be checked against the current scale and the study specifications.
How to apply
Gather energy consumption, uses, the buildings concerned and site constraints. Contact ADEME to check regional coverage and the specifications, then get a quote from a competent provider before applying on AGIR.
