Support for Studies and Diagnostics for Reuse and Repair (Excluding Packaging)
The 2026 aid is for organisations involved in the circular economy, notably companies, associations and local authorities, in the regions covered. It funds local assessments or studies prior to a reuse or repair investment. The aid rate can reach 80% of the study cost; the period runs until 31 December 2026.
Before opening a repair workshop, a specialist reuse centre or a reuse channel, you need to check the available supply, outlets, logistics and economic viability. ADEME can support local assessments and feasibility studies that prepare the development of reuse and repair activities, excluding packaging.

Who can apply
Any organisation involved in the second life of products may be eligible, subject to the scheme’s conditions: companies, associations, local authorities and other multi-stream organisations. The scheme notably covers projects to develop a local reuse channel or an activity refurbishing and repairing objects or materials.
Eligibility conditions
The study must be a local assessment or a feasibility study prior to a reuse or repair investment, excluding packaging. It must help develop supply and demand for reused or repaired flows. The project, deliverables, costs and provider must meet ADEME’s 2026 conditions and be submitted before the mission starts.
What the scheme covers
Studies can analyse the supply of products or materials, flows, careful collection, refurbishment needs, outlets, local demand, partnerships and the business model. A local assessment can identify opportunities for a channel; a feasibility study can prepare a concrete investment in a reuse or repair activity.
Amount and funding terms
ADEME indicates an aid rate of up to 80% of the study cost. The rate applied depends on eligible costs and the 2026 eligibility and financing conditions. The aid covers the study or assessment, not all the equipment that might be bought afterwards; investment must be considered under the dedicated scheme.
How to apply
1. Define the channel, the target products or materials and the area. 2. Identify the supply, the players and potential outlets. 3. Set out the questions to be addressed and the expected deliverables. 4. Check eligible costs in ADEME’s 2026 conditions. 5. Apply before the study starts, and clearly separate funding for the study from funding for later investment.
