Support for Cycling Routes and Tourism

The scheme funds studies and works on cycle routes, signage, counters, service points for cycle tourists and collective route promotion. Projects must be located on routes in the regional plan, be consistent with the area’s tourism strategy and include an environmental and social approach. The Region asks for an initial contact to check eligibility before the formal application.

The regional Cycle Touring aid supports public and private project owners developing cycle tourism infrastructure, services and initiatives. It is part of the 2020-2030 regional cycle route plan. The announced rates vary by type of project: 25% for certain routes and service points, 20% for secondary links, 15% for connections and up to €10,000 a year for certain route committee programmes.
