What the scheme covers
The operations mentioned in the catalogue are: for sedentary businesses: investment expenditure on modernisation and security — compulsory investment such as applying health standards (excluding buildings); capacity investment to serve more customers in the catchment area, provided the market is poorly or insufficiently covered; productivity investment to increase the business’s profitability and efficiency, notably renewing production tools and any professional equipment directly linked to the business’s activity (baker’s oven, food delivery vehicles, machine tools, IT equipment, business software, etc.); diversification investment enabling the business to enter a new market segment alongside its main activity; marketing and visibility investment, such as exterior shop window equipment (joinery, painting, blinds, canopies, etc.), signs and the shopfront visible from the public road (including mechanical and/or electronic protection systems for the sales outlet: anti-intrusion only, in-store remote monitoring and video surveillance, intrusion detection). For tourism and leisure businesses: investment and operating expenditure on all works to adapt to climate change and secure outdoor sites directly linked to the business’s operation (e.g. wooded outdoor areas used for the activity, bikes for customer loan, equipment for maintaining customers’ bikes). For mobile businesses: expenditure on professional equipment directly linked to the mobile activity — food delivery vehicles, refrigerated display cases, tools and equipment for the eligible activity; where the non-sedentary business has premises for preparing the products it sells, modernisation, security or accessibility works in those premises. Not eligible: creation or maintenance of roads and utilities (yards, car parks and fences) and buildings; handling equipment; consumables and small tools; services ancillary to the equipment (training, fees, transport, commissioning, etc.); leasing and equipment rental; purchase of land and goodwill/lease premium; materials for self-build works.
