KAP Micro-enterprise
KAP TPE is a regional grant for very small businesses already registered in crafts, catering and retail, located in Réunion. The project must concern new depreciable equipment and represent between €5,000 and less than €20,000 of costs. The rate announced by the Region is 50% of the eligible project. Vehicles are excluded. The scheme targets businesses with up to 10 employees, up to date with their social security and tax obligations, with separate turnover caps by activity.
Do you run a small craft business, a restaurant or a retail shop in Réunion and need to renew equipment? KAP TPE was designed to support small investments that are often hard to fund through borrowing alone. The regional scheme covers part of the cost of an eligible equipment project, provided the business, its turnover and its location meet the programme’s criteria. The application must be prepared before the project is completed.

Who can apply
Very small businesses already registered in crafts, catering and retail; head office or establishment carrying out the project located in Réunion; up to 10 employees; social security and tax obligations up to date. Annual turnover must not exceed €1 million for crafts and catering, and €400,000 for retail. Projects located in the core of the National Park or its optimal membership area are excluded from this scheme, as they fall under separate support mechanisms.
Eligibility conditions
The project must be between €5,000 and less than €20,000 and concern new depreciable equipment. Vehicles are excluded. The business must meet the criteria on headcount, activity, turnover and administrative situation set by the Region. The application must be submitted before the project is completed; to secure the timetable, contact the Region before signing an order or paying the supplier and ask for confirmation of the date from which costs are eligible.
What the scheme covers
Investments in new depreciable equipment to support the very small business’s activity: production equipment, professional equipment and operating equipment, subject to their eligibility under the rules. Excluded: vehicles and projects outside the scheme’s cost range. Works, software or other intangible assets should not be treated as eligible without express confirmation from the reviewing department.
Amount and funding terms
Announced grant: 50% of eligible costs, for an investment project of at least €5,000 and under €20,000. As an order of magnitude, a project with €12,000 of costs taken into account would correspond to theoretical aid of €6,000, before review and checking of combination rules. The regional page mentions a territorial bonus for the East micro-region but states the final rate as 50%: do not automatically add a bonus to the base rate without written confirmation from the reviewing department. Only new depreciable equipment is taken into account; vehicles are excluded.
How to apply
1. Check the activity, headcount, turnover and address of the establishment carrying out the project. 2. Describe the investment and gather detailed quotes for new depreciable equipment. 3. Check with the Region that the scheme is still open and that the planned cost is eligible before finalising the project. 4. Apply according to the regional procedure, attaching the administrative and financial documents and the quotes requested. 5. Wait for the decision before treating the aid as secured.
Timeline
The official page consulted presents the launch of the scheme in March 2025, but is not enough on its own to confirm that funds were open as of 19 October 2026. The availability of the scheme and the admissible commitment dates must be confirmed with the Réunion Region before any purchase.
