Magazine: Selective Production Support
The CNC’s selective aid concerns production companies developing magazine-type audiovisual works of essentially cultural interest. The project must be intended for first broadcast on a television service established in France or first availability on an on-demand audiovisual service established in France, with a purchase or pre-purchase contract from the broadcaster. The French contribution must reach at least 30% of the final cost, and at least 50% of that contribution must be production spending in France. No single fixed cap is published on the general page.
Are you producing a mainly cultural audiovisual magazine programme with a broadcaster ready to commit? The CNC’s selective aid can help fund production, including for companies without an automatic account. The decisive point is to build a complete application around the work, the broadcaster’s contract, the financing plan and the share of production carried out in France.

Who can apply
Audiovisual production companies, whether or not they hold an automatic account at the CNC. The work must be intended for first broadcast by a television service established in France or first availability on an on-demand audiovisual service established in France. The application must include the broadcaster’s contractual commitment and the documents required by the CNC.
Eligibility conditions
The project must be of essentially cultural interest and have a pre-purchase or rights purchase contract with a French broadcaster. The French contribution must represent at least 30% of the final cost, and production spending in France at least 50% of the French contribution. If the French contribution reaches at least 80% of the final cost, the work must be made wholly or mainly in an original French-language version or in a regional language used in France. Applications that are incomplete at the closing date are not registered for the committee.
What the scheme covers
Production of magazine-type audiovisual works of mainly cultural interest. Costs must be described in the project’s budget and financing plan using the CNC forms. The eco-conditionality requirements for audiovisual production include submitting a dual carbon footprint before production and after completion. The CNC’s obligations on training and preventing sexist and sexual violence must also be anticipated by the production company.
Amount and funding terms
The CNC does not publish a guaranteed flat-rate amount per application on the general page for selective magazine aid: support is decided selectively according to the project and the review. Aid from the audiovisual support fund cannot exceed 40% of the work’s final cost overall (or of the French share in an international co-production). Total public aid from the State, its agencies and local authorities cannot exceed 50% of the final cost (or of the French share). The financing plan must therefore show the other support applied for or obtained.
How to apply
1. Check the project’s format and cultural interest against the scheme. 2. Obtain the broadcaster’s pre-purchase or purchase contract, which is essential for the application to be registered. 3. Prepare the presentation file, budget, financing plan and production tables requested by the CNC. 4. Submit the complete application on the MesAides platform before the deadline for the target committee. 5. Anticipate the eco-conditionality and training obligations. The CNC page indicates in particular an application deadline of 12 November 2026 for the committee of 21 January 2027; check the official timetable before applying.
Timeline
The CNC publishes a timetable by committee. The next deadline listed on the official page is 12 November 2026, for a committee on 21 January 2027. Other dates are published up to 2027; check the CNC page and submit a complete application before the relevant closing date.
