Energy Bonus — Coup de Pouce Heating for Tertiary Buildings

A bonus on energy savings certificates (CEE) for certain operations replacing heating or domestic hot water systems in existing service-sector buildings. It is not a uniform national flat-rate grant for all projects: the amount depends on the operation, the building and the offer from the charter signatory.

A service-sector building heated by coal, oil or an old gas boiler can mean a major energy bill. The “Coup de pouce Chauffage des bâtiments tertiaires” scheme was designed to encourage owners and managers to replace this equipment with more efficient solutions, notably heat pumps, biomass or connection to a heating network.

Who can apply

Owners and managers of service-sector buildings that have existed for more than two years at the date the operation is committed. The project must concern a building and a technology within the scope of the applicable CEE sheets.

Eligibility conditions

The operations must fall under the corresponding standardised sheets, notably heat pump, connection to a heating network or biomass boiler. The CEE offer must be obtained before the operation is committed, under the scheme’s rules. Compare several offers and keep proof of the offer, the quotes and the technical documents.

What the scheme covers

Replacing heating or domestic hot water equipment using coal, oil or certain gas systems with a heat pump, a biomass boiler or a connection to a heating network. The solution must be technically suited to the building and meet the corresponding standardised sheet.

Amount and funding terms

The amount is set by the CEE charter signatory according to the standardised operation sheet and the project. The offer can take the form of a bank transfer, a cheque or a deduction from the invoice. The catalogue mentions operations carried out until 31 December 2026; confirm the exact deadline and the applicable version of the charter before signing a quote.

How to apply

Describe the building, floor area, use, current heating and planned solution. Contact a supplier or CEE charter signatory before signing the quote and ask for a written offer specifying the amount, conditions and evidence to provide. Check the operation deadline and the applicable CEE sheet. Reference source: https://www.ecologie.gouv.fr/politiques-publiques/dispositif-coup-pouce-chauffage

Timeline

The catalogue mentions a deadline of 31 December 2026 for certain operations. The scheme has undergone regulatory changes: check the commitment and completion dates in force with the signatory and on the official website before taking any steps.
