Who can apply

Associations; cooperative societies of collective interest (SCIC); municipalities or other local authorities owning the buildings; private owners; property-holding companies whose accommodation is run by an association. Not eligible: centres belonging to a works council.

Eligibility conditions

The project must concern group accommodation in the Grand Est with a minimum capacity of 40 beds: holiday village, tourist residence, family holiday home, holiday centre, international residential centre or youth hostel. The applicant must belong to a category accepted by the Region and own the buildings where this condition applies. Centres belonging to a works council are excluded, as are projects that keep oil as the main energy source after works. The review favours projects that create or maintain jobs and those that improve environmental performance.

What the scheme covers

Eligible projects: group accommodation projects with at least 40 beds in the Grand Est region — holiday villages, tourist residences, family holiday homes, holiday centres, international residential centres, youth hostels. Priority is given to investment of economic interest, with measurable job retention or creation after the works, and to facilities that are or are moving towards being exemplary in sustainable development. Group accommodation projects whose main energy source remains oil after the works are not eligible. Eligible costs: works carried out by specialist companies (not the project owner itself) that add quality to the group accommodation offer, with eligible costs above €125,000 excluding VAT; architect’s or project manager’s fees; all costs of creating or improving a swimming pool, spa, Finnish bath, sauna or hammam, only if the equipment installed meets sustainable development objectives, with technical justification (processes, materials, operating conditions, etc.) of the water and energy savings achieved in use after the works; the cost of the environmental approach procedure or the Destination d’Excellence label with the certifying body; costs of developing a digital offer, up to €5,000 of eligible costs. Not eligible: furniture (except fitted kitchens or fixed bathroom elements); equipment; non-fixed decorative elements; bedding; routine maintenance works; invoices for materials; property and land acquisitions; regulatory investment (compliance works alone).

Amount and funding terms

A grant capped at €200,000 (or €250,000 if the project is on a brownfield site or part of a brownfield redevelopment), covering up to 20% of accepted costs excluding VAT (including VAT if the beneficiary is not subject to VAT).

How to apply

1. Confirm the establishment’s capacity (at least 40 beds), its status and ownership of the buildings. 2. Separate potentially eligible costs from exclusions: loose furniture, bedding, routine maintenance, land acquisition and compliance works alone. 4. Apply on the regional online service before signing quotes and before works start. 5. Complete the application within a year of first submitting it and before the works end; the decision remains subject to review and to the Standing Committee.

The complete application must be finalised no later than one year after first submission and before the works end. No general closing date is given; confirm that the online service is open before committing to the project.
