The hub must meet the following criteria: bringing together, in the same area, a significant number of networks, businesses and social and solidarity economy (ESS) organisations working with industrial or commercial businesses and, where relevant, local authorities, research centres and training organisations; integrating an ecosystem in an area with a sustainable socio-economic development purpose linked to one or more local authorities; local roots of economic activities; investment in social innovation or the pursuit of social utility; creating, consolidating and/or developing lasting, quality jobs; developing activities that respect people and the environment; making use of a diversity of local resources: material, human and financial; involving citizens, stakeholders and institutions of all sizes in its governance.
