CNM aid for publishing contemporary music and creative jazz
The CNM indicates aid covering up to 40% of eligible costs, with a cumulative cap of €45,000 per organisation per calendar year. The organisation must be affiliated to the CNM, be a legal entity and comply with the music publishing code of practice. The official timetable sets a deadline of 2 November 2026; check the committee concerned and the affiliation lead times.
The Centre national de la musique (CNM) supports publishing organisations developing a catalogue of new works in contemporary music or creative jazz. The aid targets in particular complex and risky publishing projects: the application must clearly link each cost to the publishing work, the distribution of the work and its public performance.

Eligibility conditions
The project must meet the following eligibility criteria: concern works of contemporary music (operatic, symphonic, chamber music) or creative jazz; present unpublished works by living composers or composers who died less than 10 years ago; present works with a guaranteed public performance or a commercially distributed recording; the engraving work must have started no earlier than two years before, and no later than one year after, the date the work is first performed or released; State, orchestra or opera commissions, festival and conservatoire commissions and publishers’ own initiatives are eligible, provided they meet the criteria above. Before applying, confirm the version of the rules, combination rules, conditions for maintaining the activity and any obligations after payment.
What the scheme covers

Present costs by item, with quotes and a timetable. Do not place orders or start works before confirming whether a prior application or written approval is required.
