Support for Publishing Classic Comic Strip Series in the Breton Language
The Region announces 50% of eligible costs for first editions and new editions of out-of-print albums, with a cost cap of €12,000 per album, and 25% for reprints with a cost cap of €10,000. Total aid may not exceed €25,000 a year. The aid is reserved for professional publishers meeting the publishing programme and rights criteria.
This regional aid supports the translation and publication in Breton of classic comic series, in particular to develop the offer for young readers. It distinguishes first editions or new editions of out-of-print albums from simple reprints. The application must be submitted before costs are incurred and document the rights, the translation and the publishing budget.
