Grand Est Agri-food
Former regional aid for agri-food investments (processing, storage, packaging), but the regional scheme has been suspended since 14 November 2025 according to the Region. Separate EAFRD calls are announced for 2026; their rules must not be confused with those of the suspended aid.
Grand Est Agroalimentaire was designed to support processing, storage and packaging investments by agri-food businesses. However, the Region’s official page states that this regional scheme has been suspended since 14 November 2025 and refers to separate EAFRD (FEADER) calls for projects. You therefore need to identify the call actually open in 2026 before using the catalogue’s former rates or caps.

Who can apply
Businesses: generating more than 50% of their annual turnover in B2B; processing and packaging agricultural products (first processing) or agri-food products (second processing), except coffee, chocolate and tea. Priority is given to businesses with a processing activity wishing to develop a new way of adding value to their raw materials or by-products.
Eligibility conditions
Historically, businesses processing and packaging agricultural/agri-food products for human consumption, with conditions on turnover and the type of processing. For a current application, check the new EAFRD call and its own criteria.
What the scheme covers
Projects: concerning human food; aimed at modernising or transforming the business’s production model — modernising production tools; integrating new production technologies or methods (automation, robotics, digital equipment, etc.); digitalising the value chain (ERP, etc.); optimising resources (energy, water, raw materials, waste, etc.); concerning investments linked to the processing or packaging process and to storage. Priority is given to: alternative protein projects (pulses, soya, algae, etc.); projects selected under the “Investments by low-impact supply chains” call for expressions of interest run by the Water Agencies and the Region; breweries taking part in “Environmental transition of breweries” with the Chamber of Trades and Crafts; other projects costing less than €300,000 excluding VAT.
Amount and funding terms
The former regional page mentions aid of 10% to 40%, up to €800,000, but states that the scheme has been suspended since 14 November 2025. These figures should not be treated as available without checking the exact 2026 EAFRD call.

Obtain the official fiche, the rules and the list of supporting documents. 4. Prepare the financing plan and the business’s documents. 5.
