Business grants in Nouvelle-Aquitaine: which funding can you access?
Discover grants from the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine for businesses: investment, innovation, transition, business creation, growth and financing. Check the official conditions before submitting your application.
In brief
The Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine offers a range of support schemes for businesses and project leaders. Depending on the programme, support may take the form of a grant, support services, a call for projects or a financing scheme. Conditions depend in particular on the applicant's profile, sector, territory, the nature of expenses and the timeline. The scheme's official fact sheet remains the reference for checking the rules in force.
The Région's role
The Région defines and implements a significant part of economic development policy at the regional level. Its intervention regulations specify the objectives of the schemes, the beneficiaries, eligible expenses and applicable caps.
Which categories of grants should you look for?
The catalogue is organised into broad editorial families: business creation and takeovers, investment and modernisation, innovation and digital, the ecological transition, agriculture and agri-food, tourism and culture, employment and skills, export, local trade and financing. This categorisation makes navigation easier; it does not replace the official classification of each scheme.
Creation, takeover and growth
Business creation, takeover, transfer or growth projects may fall under different schemes depending on the company's maturity, its activity and the territory where it is based. Before submitting an application, check whether the scheme targets companies being created, already-registered companies, buyers taking over a business, or support structures.
Investment, modernisation and industry
Some schemes can support equipment investments, the upgrading of production tools, or competitiveness. The eligible expenses, investment thresholds, company size and implementation timeline are decisive factors. Do not commit to any expenses before checking the rules on filing and the start of project execution.
Innovation, research and digital transformation
For an innovative project, check the expected level of maturity, eligible R&D or prototyping expenses, any partnerships, and the supporting-document requirements. Innovation grants may be operated by partners or combined with national or European funding.
Ecological and energy transition
Projects to reduce consumption, decarbonise, develop the circular economy or transform processes must be checked against the programme's exact criteria: eligible expenses, expected gains, preliminary studies, and combination with other grants.
Agriculture, agri-food, tourism and culture
These sectors may be covered by specific schemes, sometimes funded or co-financed by European funds or sector partners. Check the location, the type of activity, any de minimis or State aid rules, and the precise role of each organisation.
How do I check my eligibility?
For each scheme, check at least: (1) the company's status and size; (2) the sector and location; (3) the nature and date of expenses; (4) the minimum or maximum amount; (5) the combination rules and public-aid caps; (6) the deadline and the application channel; (7) the supporting documents and commitments required. A fact sheet may be outdated, closed, or applicable only to certain territories: its status must be confirmed before any decision.
Where can I find official information?
The Guide des aides de Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Nouvelle-Aquitaine Grants Guide) is the entry point for searching schemes, checking their terms, and filtering by profile, theme or type of grant. The Région's Entreprises portal provides an overview of economic policy directions and intervention methods. For each fact sheet in the Capital OS catalogue, open the official source and check that the page actually describes the scheme being sought.
How can Capital OS help?
Capital OS can be used to identify schemes worth examining based on a company's characteristics and its project, and then to organise the necessary checks: conditions, expenses, timeline, documents and contact person. The result is a pre-qualification and preparation tool; it does not constitute an administrative decision or a guarantee of funding.
Frequently asked questions
Can all businesses in Nouvelle-Aquitaine get a regional grant?
No. Each scheme sets its own beneficiaries and sector, territorial and financial conditions. Being based in the region is not enough on its own to establish eligibility.
Is support always a grant?
No. Depending on the programme, it may be a grant, a call for projects, support services, or a financing mechanism. You need to read the fact sheet to know the exact nature of the support.
Can several grants be combined?
Combining aid depends on each scheme's rules, the applicable State aid regime, and the expenses funded. The same costs cannot always be funded more than once. Have the combination rules checked before applying.
Should you wait for approval before starting expenses?
Often, the start date of expenses is one of the criteria. Depending on the scheme, starting too early can make expenses ineligible. Check the official fact sheet and contact the reviewing body before making any commitment.
Is the Capital OS catalogue exhaustive and up to date?
This catalogue lists the grants associated with this funder in our database, but schemes evolve: some close, change operator, or involve several funders at once. Always check the current conditions on the official website before submitting an application.
Caution regarding the catalogue
The grants listed below are recorded as linked to the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine. This does not always mean that the Région directly manages each scheme, nor that the grant is still open: check the up-to-date conditions on the official fact sheet before submitting an application.

Exceptional 2026 post-wildfire grants: a window to check quickly
Following the summer 2026 wildfires in Gironde and Landes, the Région announced a set of support measures for affected businesses. Regional publications describe in particular cash-flow tools, a regional guarantee fund, grants for rebuilding and modernising micro-businesses and SMEs, and tourism recovery measures. Some measures set a deadline of 31 December 2026, but they are reserved for affected businesses and subject to their own specific conditions. Check the address of the affected premises, the link to the damage, insurance compensation, the nature of expenses, and the timeline before presenting the scheme as available.
Rebuilding and modernisation: thinking in terms of the remaining cost
Exceptional rebuilding grants can supplement insurance and other public funding. The financing plan must therefore distinguish between the value of the damage, the expected compensation, restoration expenses, equipment replacement, and modernisation investments. The Région has published a measure dedicated to micro-businesses and a measure targeting certain larger industrial investments. The conditions are not interchangeable: check the headcount, sector, minimum project amount, eligible expenses, and exclusions such as certain leasing arrangements.
Regional guarantee fund and regional rebound loan: do not confuse them with a grant
The regional guarantee fund supports access to credit by sharing part of the risk with the lender; it does not necessarily correspond to an amount paid directly to the business. The regional rebound loan, on the other hand, is a debt instrument. In a cash-flow plan, specify the amount borrowed, the repayment schedule, any deferrals, and the guarantee used. For the post-wildfire measures, the regional publication from September 2026 sets out specific terms, which should be checked with the operators before making any commitment.
Application process: regulations, filing date and supporting documents
The Guide des aides de Nouvelle-Aquitaine centralises scheme fact sheets, criteria and contacts within the regional administration. For each application, keep a record of the current fact sheet and intervention regulations; check the beneficiaries, eligible expenses, maximum aid intensity, combination of grants, and any requirement to file beforehand. For affected businesses, add proof of the incident, repair quotes, insurance certificates, and documents demonstrating the impact on business activity. A published deadline does not guarantee that a budget remains available.
Handling temporary grants without cluttering the permanent catalogue
The post-wildfire grants are exceptional schemes, limited to specific territories and time-bound. A business not affected by the wildfires should not be considered eligible merely because it is based in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Closed schemes remain useful for historical reference but must be excluded from active recommendations.
