Feasibility Studies for Energy Performance or Decarbonisation of Industrial Companies
ADEME funds feasibility studies on energy efficiency or decarbonisation of industrial processes and utilities, for SMEs and large companies alike, provided in particular that they are up to date with their mandatory energy audit obligations; tertiary premises alone are excluded.
This aid funds the technical and economic study of an already identified solution to reduce an industrial site’s energy use or emissions. It is for companies that have moved beyond a simple assessment and need to check sizing, costs, constraints and expected gains before investing.

Who can apply
Companies with an industrial activity, SMEs and large companies, for a study carried out at their site. The company must be up to date with its mandatory energy audit obligations. Tertiary premises alone are not eligible.
Eligibility conditions
The solution studied must have been identified beforehand, for example through an energy audit or an opportunity study. The feasibility study concerns a specific solution and must be carried out by a competent, objective and impartial consultancy; the page sets out the qualifications expected of consultancies or technical centres.
What the scheme covers
Technical-economic, regulatory and environmental studies on an energy efficiency or decarbonisation solution for industrial processes and utilities, including on-site CO₂ capture where provided for in the specifications.
Amount and funding terms
The 2026 scale is set in the document “Études transition écologie industrie – Conditions d’éligibilité et de financement – 2026”. The rate and cost base depend on the service and applicant; the page gives no single maximum amount. The quote must comply with ADEME’s 2026 specifications.
How to apply
Check the mandatory energy audit obligation, gather the upstream study justifying the solution, then consult ADEME’s 2026 specifications. Choose a consultancy with the required qualifications, get a compliant quote and apply on AGIR before signing the order.
Timeline
Shown as running from 1 January to 31 December 2026, in all regions. Applications are reviewed by ADEME’s regional offices; check the 2026 financing conditions and the rule on when costs may start.
