Normandie Entreprises Industries — Agri-food Industries
The Normandy Region indicates a maximum public aid rate of 30% for micro, small and medium-sized businesses processing and marketing agricultural or food products. The eligible cost threshold is €20,000 and the cap on costs taken into account over the 2023-2027 programming period is €4 million — this is a maximum cost base, not a €4 million grant. The scheme notably covers creating an activity, a new range, emerging supply chains, automation and improved working conditions. Simple purchases or replacements of routine equipment are excluded.
Do you process or market agricultural or food products and need to modernise your production line, develop a new range or automate a process? Normandie Entreprises Industries – Agri-food industries supports projects that strengthen competitiveness and create added value. The aid can reach 30% of the costs taken into account; the project must exceed the cost threshold and bring a real change to the production facility, not just replace routine equipment.

Who can apply
Micro, small and medium-sized businesses processing and marketing agricultural or food products. Not eligible according to the regional fiche: local authorities and groupings, public bodies (including certain public organisations carrying out processing/packaging/storage/marketing), farmers as individuals or legal entities, and farmer groups. The project must be located in Normandy and fall within the scheme’s agri-food scope.
Eligibility conditions
The project must exceed €20,000 of eligible costs and be a modernisation or development investment that strengthens added value. Projects creating an activity, a new range, an emerging supply chain or modernising a line may be concerned. Simply replacing or acquiring equipment needed for routine operation is not eligible. The application must be prepared with the cost spreadsheet, the forecast economic study and the documents requested by the Region.
What the scheme covers
Investments contributing to processing and marketing agricultural or food products: creating a new activity or range, developing an existing range with an official quality label (SIQO) or in an emerging supply chain (for example plant proteins), modernising or automating a processing line and improving working conditions. Routine equipment purchases with no development or transformation project are excluded.
Amount and funding terms
Maximum public aid rate: 30%. Eligible cost threshold: €20,000. The final amount depends on the budget accepted, the size of the business, the aid regime and other public funding. The Region provides a scheme fiche and spreadsheets to prepare the costs and the economic forecast.
