Prevention grant for very small businesses – diesel exhaust extraction (Assurance Maladie – Risques professionnels)

Amount or form of support: a grant of at least €500, covering 70% of the amount excluding VAT spent on equipment and inspection. Operations targeted: extraction installations and equipment, and inspection of airflow and acoustic performance — purchase or renovation of an exhaust gas and fume extraction system with collectors suited to the activity, or replacement of existing components.

In a workshop, garage or vehicle inspection centre, diesel engine emissions can expose employees to carcinogenic substances. This grant helps small businesses fund extraction systems suited to their workstations, as well as checking their performance.

Who can apply

Companies with 1 to 49 employees under the general social security scheme, in all sectors, subject to the administrative criteria of the Assurance Maladie – Risques professionnels.

Eligibility conditions

The company must have 1 to 49 employees nationally, be under the general social security scheme, be up to date with its URSSAF contributions and have a single risk assessment document (DUERP) updated within the last year. It must meet the other administrative criteria of the Assurance Maladie – Risques professionnels, notably the rules on prevention contracts, injunctions or additional contributions, the occupational health service and de minimis public aid where these apply. The equipment and services must match the grant’s specifications. Check the detailed conditions on the official page before ordering or committing costs. The project must aim to reduce exposure to diesel engine exhaust gases and fumes. The equipment must be suited to the workstations and vehicles concerned and meet the technical requirements of the official sheet; costs must be supported by the quotes, invoices and inspection documents requested.

What the scheme covers

Covered in particular: exhaust gas and fume extraction systems with collectors suited to the workstation, replacement of an existing extractor or collector and, for heavy goods vehicle inspection centres where the conditions provide for it, an overpressure cabin. The inspection of airflow and acoustic performance must follow the official protocol.
