Introduction

The Région Normandie offers various schemes to support businesses and project leaders: business creation, takeovers, investment, innovation, industrial development, the ecological transition, employment and training. Depending on the programme, support may take the form of a grant, a loan, a guarantee, support services or co-financing. Conditions depend in particular on the beneficiary's profile, the project's location, the business sector, the planned expenses and the timeline.

What types of projects can be supported?

Normandy grants can cover economic development projects, innovation, productive investment, performance improvement, the energy and environmental transition, as well as agricultural or territorial projects. The schemes are specific: for example, Impulsion Innovation targets innovation projects by regional companies, while Impulsion Environnement targets investments related in particular to decarbonisation, energy efficiency and the circular economy. Grants, loans and support: understanding the instruments

A grant is financial support awarded under certain conditions. A loan must be repaid; a guarantee can make it easier to access credit; support services can finance all or part of an advisory service. Some schemes are implemented with the Agence de Développement pour la Normandie or other partners. Examples of regional schemes

Impulsion Transition supports certain small local businesses through advisory services to prepare a strategic transition. Impulsion Invest supports, under certain conditions, the establishment of new companies in Normandy and their investment programmes. Impulsion Environnement targets environmental investments. These examples illustrate the diversity of the instruments; they do not mean that all schemes are open to all businesses or all sectors.

Regional grants and European funds

Some regional grants are co-financed by the European Union, in particular under FEDER or the Just Transition Fund (FTJ).
